Saying Goodbyes

Map of Nashua New Hampshire NH

I’ve been thinking about this post for a couple of weeks. Nashua, New Hampshire is where my husband and I both grew up and it’s important to us to remember this city and the things we don’t want to forget. We’ve been staying at Josh's parents home for the past week after we sold our home. The car is packed (once by Josh and then repacked by me- I know I have control issues), and besides a load of laundry tonight we are just about ready to hit the road Thursday morning for our trip. So in order to tie up our time here, I thought it would be therapeutic for us and hopefully not boring to everyone else to make a list of what we will miss about Nashua. Initially I thought we could do one list together but fuck that, we're separate people. Here we go!

Things Sarah will miss about Nashua, NH:
-Market Basket (oh cmon like that surprises you)
-Giovanni’s chicken kabob salad
-Bagel Alley Bagels
-Dunkin Donuts Coffee...everywhere
-Not having to use Waze to get places
-Having family right up the road

Things Josh will miss about Nashua, NH:
-Bicentenial Playground
-Mines Falls
-The Garden
-Market Basket
-The Manheims
-Thursday night hockey with the boys
-Black Oak Drive
-Bagel Alley Smoked Salmon Bagel
-Roby Park Rink/Sledding Hill

And because it’s important to reveal both sides to every story...

Things we will not miss about Nashua, NH:
-SNOW. I realize that a day or 2 of snow is enjoyable, especially with small kids who love to play in it, but besides that snow sucks and I’ll be happy to never buy snow boots again (fingers crossed)
-Shoveling. WOOF.
-That's really it. Mostly we just don't like winter and cold weather.

Hitting the road for our first leg of the trip tomorrow (Thursday) morning!

Stay tuned...
